iPod Touch
I’m getting an ipod touch, and I was just wondering what the difference between an iPod Touch 1st generation and an iPod touch 2nd generation was.
Like, what are the different features?
Please help!
Oh, and are the differences to major, that I would seriously be missing out on something if I got the 1st generation?

The only difference between the 1st and 2nd generation is that the 2nd generation has speakers.

They are very different.
1G– no speakers, thicker, and has grey beveled edges.
2G– built in speakers, lighter, thinner, and has rounder edges.
I have an iPod touch 2G and I absolutely love it. I just suggest getting a case and screen protector at the same time to keep it nice and spiffy!

I am getting the 1st generation because it is cheaper. The only major difference between the two is the speakers. They come with earbuds so why would you need the speakers you can buy a 10.00 pair of nice speakers instead of getting a $50 more expensive iPod. I would highly recomend geting the first generation. Don’t waste your money on the 2 generation!

The 2nd is a lot thinner and has speakers. It also has better internet connection making it faster.

besides the software and speakers the biggest difference is the hardware! the hardware on the ipod touch 2g is the fastest out of the ipod touch 1g and iphone, and iphone 3g.
