I bought this product in white (opaque and semi opaque) because it has a bit of a retro feel about it and I like that. But upon receipt, the first main problem is that there is a thin silicone covering over the click wheel which makes the actions of the click wheel erratic at best and simply non existent at worst! In anger and frustration, I cut it out in the end because the action of scrolling was hit and miss.
Then there is the fact that actually, it is two sleeves, one inside the other which fit together to give it the chunky ribbed feel…totally unnecessary design feature which just makes it: a)difficult to get on and off, b) leaves a step around all the plug in parts so you cannot plug it to USB or headphone with the sleeve on as it pushes the plug jack out…madness! C) when you hold it, because the sleeves are slippy, the sleeve becomes deformed and moves around a lot d) dirt and pocket crud gets between the opaque under layer and the semi transparent top layer which just looks appalling!
If you want a sleeve that looks good, and probably would protect the corners in a fall then this is OK…Just. But if you want it to do all that and you still want to use the ipod at the same time, forget it. Buy something simpler and not (badly) over designed like this one. Shame on you Proporta!

An excellent addition to my iPod that not only provides excellent protection against bumps and scratches but looks good to.
