The case is fairly well constructed, good solid feel, with all the necessary button/ports accesible.
Not sure about cutting off the whole corner for the ear phone plug. Seems like too much comprimise.
I was mainly disappointed by the cover flat. It has a velcro tab on an elasticated stip that retracts into the inside of the cover flap when not fastened. But it sits just inside the flap and prevents it closing flat. To fasten the flap, you have to pull the velcro tab (not easily) to the matching spot on the back of the cover. I would have preferred a flap that was flush with no fastening point.
(My previous cover for the ipod nano had a magnetic close – no velcro blocks etc. much more like it al;though the compas would not like a magnet, so I guess this is the comprimise)
Also on mine (slightly different from the pictured one), there are two layers. the under layer in the stripped velour, and the leather outer material. but the leather is just shorter and norrower than the valour leaving some exposed, I assume to improve looks. But I think it would have been better with a single layer cover (thinner) and no two-tone effect.
better than plastic cover for the same price, but not perfect.

This is a very useful case for the iPod touch. I had a silicone case but it didn’t cover the screen but this protects the screen fully. There are places for the ear phones and the charger. I’m not so sure of the leather content though, doesn’t smell or look leathery, one star docked for that. Otherwise, brilliant!!

This does the job.
Didn’t really want to pay this much for a phone case, but I wanted something well made and durable and this certainly fits the bill. It’s genuine leather, the inside is soft and the stitching looks strong.
You can still use your headphones, the menu button is covered up but there is a mark on the inside of the case showing where it is and it lines up correctly, as do the marks showing where the volume controls are which are accessible while the case is closed.
The only thing I don’t like is the velcro which is on the pull out elastic strap. It tucks away while the case is open, but it really needs to be pulled out and used while the case is closed otherwise the velcro could scratch the screen. A minor point but worth noting.
Also, not happy about the amount of packaging by Belkin for this case. Quite a big plastic box for a relatively small item, with more plastic and card inside to present it. Too excessive and more waste for landill sites.

Belkin make some really good products, however in this case the design department had a day of.
On the back of the case is a Velcro tab but it is set back into the case, when you attempt to secure the case with the partner velcro tab (which is attached to a piece of elastic) it does not stick. This is due to a number of factors
1. Poor quality Velcro
2. Elastic to strong
3. The recessed Velcro tab set into the case.
Oh yes also one other point one corner of your phone will poke out.
Recommendation: Do not buy

Very poorly made, the velcro pull tab that’s supposed to keep the wallet shut doesn’t stick properly and the elastic is far too short. When the tab comes undone it pushes againrt the back up button and will set off speech control or the ipod function.
Don’t buy this as it’s absolutely useless.
